About Alma Gabriela

Alma Gabriela is an intuitive-interdisciplinary artist, depth psychotherapist, and first-generation Guatemalan American. Alma Gabriela ritualizes artmaking as an embodied spiritual practice that tends to the soul. Her art-making process applies several methods of engaging the unconscious to access embodied wisdom and create images that capture personal and collective symbols, dreams, and emerging narratives. It is her goal to serve as a heart-centered agent of social and environmental justice, using art as an act of spiritual activism in the modern digital age.

Alma bridges the wisdom of ancient indigenous practices to serve the modern expression of self and the collective narratives that are rapidly evolving. It is her passion to work with creatives, artists, empaths, visionaries, storytellers, eccentrics, healers, and activists who are called to use their unique gifts to attend to their personal well-being, heal intergenerational trauma, and be of service to the community and planet.

Alma has over 10 years of experience in the mental health field working with people experiencing mild to severe symptoms and helping people access their innate capacity to transform pain and struggle into wellness and meaningful living. She provides holistic, trauma-informed, intersectional, and inclusive therapy.
